a new fave vendor – spiked charleston ice

Standard

you read it right – spiked italian ice.  remember when you were a kid and italian ice was the best treat of the summer.  well, it’s back with a kick!  i met the guys (and gal) of spiked charleston ice at amanda and rob’s wedding a few weeks ago.  now what you guys don’t know is that amanda and rob got married on a hot charleston summer day.  that’s to be expected, right?  but what was not expected was a power outage on the island that resulted in the ac in their venue not working…for the whole day.  amanda and rob’s wedding was warm…absolutely beautiful…but warm.  but my brilliant bride had a trick up her sleeve: she booked charleston ice.

it was beyond amazing. i always like to rave about wonderful vendors, but this was something new for me.  they had a simple set-up, a card adorned with a “just married” sign, a black and white beach umbrella, and tiny little cups of heaven!  they had a few different flavors – coconut creme with malibu rum, a strawberry skyy with strawberry vodka, an arnold palmer with firefly sweet tea vodka (of course!), and a margarita with tequlia.  my favorite combo was the coconut and strawberry together.  delicious doesn’t do it justice.  the bride and groom and all of the guests couldn’t get enough.  and it took the edge off the heat.  it was beyond perfect for a beach-front wedding but would be perfect at any charleston venue – indoor or out, ac or not.  below you’ll see the promo video they shot at amanda and rob’s wedding featuring a cameo by yours truly 🙂

if you’re a summer bride in charleston and you want that unique treat for your guests, this is it.  trust me, i know these things!
